Marchelle and Peter Falkner didn’t purchase their first home for its appearances. “It was in actually bad shape at first,” states Peter. A landscape designer and owner of Falkner Gardens, Peter understood he could bring the run-down home, situated on a prime corner lot, back to life.
Adjust Your Home For Your Lifestyle
“We worked within the existing footprint and couldn’t go out in any instructions, so we went up,” says Davis, who created a roofing system with 4 excellent profiles. The interesting rooflines provide architectural character,” he says. It holds up in weather condition and will not rot,” he says.
Make It Inviting

” This house is all about being an interactive part of the neighborhood,” states Davis. “Removing those visual barriers made this smaller space feel a lot bigger,” he states. You get that light and openness but can still maintain personal privacy by turning it sideways,” he states.
Construct A Better Backyard
Peter carved out his own secluded space. “One important thing people do not constantly do on corner lots is make a backyard,” he states. “Wide actions help it stream out into the lawn,” says Franks.
Plan Multifunction Spaces
Peter developed an outside kitchen with a sink large enough for cleaning the crawfish pot after spring boils. It’s a whole interactive space, but it does not wedge you into utilizing it exclusively for cooking,” states Davis. A seating area and restaurant lights turn the patio into another cozy spot for entertaining.
Provide It Character
The green shutters and louvered gable match those on the home’s front exterior. “The small shed provides you a chance to link with something on a more intimate scale,” says Davis. “They put on a huge show around Mother’s Day and then flower off and on till the fall,” states Peter.
